Hi MisterM, Now this much better in the rhythmic aspect, only I give you a tip: hitting the strings with your right hand to give more beat, the "death" notes create rhythm in the silences of music. More feeling in your playing. Gracias amigo! |

First of all, thank you, MisterM! I'm glad you're brave to record your videos, and that you like mine. I like to see the different approach that you give to my song. I agree with Ben, Darius and Gabriel about the things that can make it sound even more expressive. You play very softly, you need picking from soft to harder and then will increase your dynamics. Also I miss a little more groove, the notes you play are as important as those that do not play, silence and death notes are essential in the groove, work it! For me dynamic, vibrato and groove are essentials to play with feeling, work it! I add this video on my youtube channel... |

It's a bit tougher, but it's a much more even tone if I use a pick. It just requires more dexterity with my picking hand when it comes to playing the same licks. Thoughts? Originally the guitar was played with the fingers, not with the pick. The electric guitar and modern techniques have changed that. But I think the pure music, classical, acoustic, no amps, is the most human sounding. I think using the hybrid picking give our instrument achieves a more human expression. I use it almost always helps me feel closer to my guitar, more in touch with her. How do you play it? As you want. When should you use it? When you feel like. The important thing is to get a personal sound of the guitar at all times. No rules, feel free to do so or not. |
