But why using only 2 right hand fingers? Since index finger is heavily busy there are some timing issues. The tune do not flow as it should.

Zakk already explained about worn frets, just to add that worn frets may damage the strings.

Now, the dilemma, it depends on your budget. I paid about 60 euros for frets replacement, I don't know how much it would cost you, but if you love your guitar a lot then it doesn't matter. On the other hand if you are looking for a reason to buy a new guitar, then you have one.

Well, a lot of guys play guitar for that purpose. In my case I was too young, around 10. My father was a musician and was surrounded with instruments. Initially I wanted to play drums, but my father said NOOOO, too loud, so my second choice was a guitar
