I want to know if anyone know any good lessons, books or any thing else on how to create dark orchestral songs..

I too am interested in this. Well if theres anything better than what i do (Which im sure there is).
I just write things on guitar put them on tuxguitar (Or guitar pro if i have access to it) export as MIDI and put it on fruityloops then change it around a bit. I think Marcus Lavendell is using some sort of orchestral VST program, as heard in his Neoclassical Etudes...

That band sounds very good. I think that the secret is to listen to a lot of classical music as well as Film soundtracks from composers like Danny Elfman. You also should buy a midi controller, a cool orquestal vst synth and try to record anything that comes to mind.
I recomend you to start composing short orquestal ideas or adding orquestal arrangements to any metal song (of you own or of any band that doen't use orquestrations). -------------------- My lessons
