Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Comments : As stated on my first submission, my recording equipment
is miniscule at best (details below). This time I used my V-Amp to
adjust the tone a bit, and adjusted the volume and distance between
my camera and speakers, so this should hopefully sound a bit better.
I however don't think this is the best tone for this etude - too
soft and smooth, but maybe a bit better sounding for my limited
recording ability. Anyway, thanks all you guys for the great lessons!

That was quite good take, nice technique and everything,
overall sound could have been better tho,
you should use some DAW for recording to avoid all noise from outside.
Whatsoever, what I would like you to think about a little is your left hand posture,
you keep your thumb behind the neck all the time, kind a "classical way".
I know that there's a saying in shred world that you should always
keep your hand that way but imho it doesn't work for everything that great.
This is Blues, you are supposed to play powerful bends,
tight vibrato, heavy fretting and everything.
Try wrapping your thumb around the neck a little, ala Hendrix,
it should provide you better stand for everything I mentioned above,
good work tho. smile.gif

I agree with this one from Muris "This is Blues, you are supposed to play powerful bends,
tight vibrato, heavy fretting and everything.
" smile.gif

You should really use DAW for these things. However good you make your sound it will never sound good because of your camera mic.

Nice job overall.

Hey! You are very close here! I think that the take is very good but the overall needs more work. The first thing would be to isolate some of the more bluesy licks and practice them alone (I think that the faster licks are played better than the more bluesy stuff). Then work on your expresion adding stronger vibrato and bends.

Very good!

I think everything was good in overall, but I believe a more precise playing could make it better, some notes came out weak and undefined. Also, the sound could be better.
