Tyson - Jazz Swing Lead Lesson |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hello GMC!
Here's one more take on my humble path to be a guitar player This is the original lesson: Jazz Swing Lead Lesson - Muris Varajic and this is my take: My Gear: Ibanez Prestige RG2570MZ Line 6 POD 2.0 Looking forward to read your comments and grade (I take it very serious, allways trying to improve). Thank you for your help. Tyson This post has been edited by skennington: Dec 5 2010, 05:23 PM |

I like your laid back feel here. Excellent. But, you should be careful how you fret and vibrate your notes. In some places you bend them a bit and they sound detuned. Guitar is a bit out of tune as well. Vibratos should be executed more precisely with more control.

great job on memorizing the notes and get them all right!
your thumb technique could sound cleaner if you would put your palm over the strings and only let ring the actual string you want to play, -------------------- Visit my:

Sounds nice. Timing (Feeling) could be even more similar to the original lesson (layedback). Overall is a good take!

Keep more attention over the intonation, depending from your guitar setup and vibratos.
