Hey guys! smile.gif

I've made a simple lesson that relates to improvisation in C major scale/key. Check it out:

Let me know what you think about subject of major phrasing. I started to play in minor pentatonic scale first. This created some difficulties for me in the beginning to be able to play over major chords and make it sound natural and "happy".

So the question for today is:

Do you spend your time in C major scale, and do your solos have more "happy" character? If not, what could be the problem of this, and what is the solution?

Major/happy solos rock! As discussed preriviously, it's not very common in metal/rock but it's sure a lot of fun.

I think I manage to keep them them somewhat happy - I like to play the major scale and mix it with major 7th arpeggios and major pentatonics.

PS If you are not sure what those scales are, remember you can use the scale generator.
