Nothing like recording yourself to see how much you suck
I've started videoing my practice and have already seen some things I've missed whilst playing Lots of mistakes in this one! This one I noticed that when descending I have occassionally put a downstroke in rather than a pulloff One day I might get to a decent speed!!! -------------------- My SoundCloud

Hi mate, good stuff! This arpeggios sound really good. If I'm not wrong the first video is played with alternate picking while the second includes sweep picking technique. I think that sweep picking will help you to play this stuff smoother and faster if you continue practicing, while alternate picking can be use if you want to give this a more accentuated sound. Petrucci uses both technique for example, depending on what he want to get. On the other side, Frank Gambale uses only economy and sweep picking.
On this topic I recommend you to check this lessons: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Sweep-...-7th-Arpeggios/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Sweep-...-7-9-Arpeggios/ -------------------- My lessons
