Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

First big credits for playing from your heart here - it sounds like you are "fellign it" rather than thinking about avoiding mistakes!

Your sound is a bit on the harsh/bright side, especially compared to Muris'.

Also it seems you are doing some bends with "flat" fingers (0:19) - which I cannot recommend at all, as this likely fives you less control. at 00:37 it looks like you are doing it right though.

The vibrato needs more work, listen how Muris phrases his - and try to get stregth from your arm and and shoulder rather thank your hand/fingers when bending.

Several of the trickier passages could be executed with more precision but you still get a good grade (7) from me since you played with your heart and I enjoyed it.

Hi again mate!

I think that most of the things that I've commented on the other take are applicable here, however I think that this one sounds a bit better than the other lesson.

The things to work are again cleanness, vibrato, bending, as well as timing in some small sections, mostly those licks that involve trills or normal legato.

Please check out the other comment for more specific feedback and suggestions on how to work on each technique.

Keep going!

Hey there!

First thing to be noticed is your very strong attribute - expression. To be honest without going into details while listening for the first time, I had an impression that I listen to someone who really "mean it". Well done for this - it's one of most important aspects of being a musician, not only guitar player.

However...
when doing detailed analysis we can capture some issues. In general all the long bends give us an idea you have a great sense of pitch hearing-wise. Now when you play short bent notes or vibrato you tend to care a little less about the pitch (like in the tapped bends lick).
There are also moments when you loose the control over unwanted noises and some open string cut through the mix.

I think you're a talented and emotional player who can deliver professional performance but to do so, you need to take care of those details. besides this it's a really pleasant performance smile.gif
