Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Sweep Picking 7th Arpeggios by Alex Feather

I thought this was a pretty simple lesson, with the given backing track at 90bpm and a skill rating of 4. Suddenly became a lot harder (as my concentration face can attest to  ) when I realized the original speed is 120 bpm.

Yeah very nice, I really like Greg Howe:ish tone you have got going there!

I think this is solid over all.

I can hear a little bit of unevenness around 00:13 and slight timing issues in the last slide.

Also your left hand looks a tad tense, if you can fix this by actively controlling tension ( = relaxing) and not pushing speed - you will be on the path to true beast mode!

Keep up the great work, you get an 8 from me!

Hey there!

Startting form the tone it's of course a descent one and great comparison to Howe's one by Kris. It's a little to dark for my taste but just to be noticed, it's a subjective thing.

You've put yourself into trouble becasue as you've already noticed it's not necessary the tempo that makes things hard to play. With such an arpeggios there are some irregular string crossing issues to workout and because of this inconsistency, there is so much focus involded smile.gif There are moments of hesitation where timing did get slightly off but from the good things I can say it really nice and clean. I see nothing serious. Hesitation moments would go off once you "upload" the track into your muscle memory...this i=unfortunately takes more time then learning the lesson itself. Well done
