Maris
Hi there!
This is my take on Neoclassical for beginners lesson by Marcus Lavendell.
I really like this lesson and those aggressive vibratos(i have to work on them).
I hope the bends are right and the timing is good!:D
Original Lesson: http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...evels-beginner/
Difficulty:4
Recorded with Reaper and Amplitube 3
My guitar: Ibanez RG350ex
My Take:

Hope you enjoy it!:D Thanks

Now I see in guitar pro that the guitar is tuned half step down, but i couldn't see that in the description of the video and i didn't looked in guitar pro until Ben pointed out that the backing track is not in standard. I'll work on the lesson and i'll post it in the correct tuning. Sorry!

Hey mate! First of all, you should lower the guitar input volume, as it surpasses the backing track volume. Second, you should pay attention to timing a little - you tend to slip away from the beat, but if you'll practice steadily with a metronome, I think you can nail this as fast as saying 'neoclassical' biggrin.gif

Also, take care of the bending, it needs a little more smoothness and flow, but that's gonna come if you get to feel the groove of the piece, which is likely to happen if you'll try to approach it as I suggested smile.gif

no rush, take things easy and they'll come to you when you least expect them to wink.gif

Hi man! I agree with Cosmin about the Mix and also regarding your bending. You aren't reaching the correct pith in your bends. I also feel that your guitar isn't correctly tunned or maybe needs some calibration but I'm not sure if I feel this is because of the mix problem.
There are also some little timing issues to work on.. but nothing very serious. The take is good and passes but you need to work it a bit more.
Keep the hard work! biggrin.gif

I think the issue with the backing track is that the backing is in Eflat, wheras Maris is in E standard by the sound of it, which means everything is a semitone out.

But apart from that, I blocked out the backing as much as I could and it sounds like you did pretty good with the bending. The vibrato was good too. Of course it can all be worked on and improved but for the purposes of the REC take I think you did it well. smile.gif
