Original lesson: Gary Moore meets Peter Green by Guido Bungenstock

Hi Guido, Here's my take of your wonderful lesson. Thanks for posting it and I'm looking forward to part 2 :-) Regards to all. Peter

Hi man!

This is a good take for this amazing lesson. Your timing is good and your playing is clean and clear. The first time I've heard it I just felt that the only thing to improve is the pitch of some of your bends. Sometimes you don't reach the correct pitch, while other times you seem to be to much time searching for it, so you need to put some work on this technique. It's not happening everywhere but it happens, mostly on the second half.

Then, I've heard if more detailed and I've noticed that your vibrato could also be more consistent, mostly on your bends but also when you add it to notes. It could be wider in some places.

Finally, there are little details in Guido's playing like dynamics, or muted sweeps that can add more expression to your playing. Dedicate some time to learn and apply them into your phrasing.

By the way, this is a very good take, keep on rocking.

Hi Peter, nice work. I really like your tone here - makes we want a Strat - what's wrong with me??? blink.gif

In terms of technique, there's nothing to complain about. Your bending and vibrato are generally confident. As Gab mentioned, some of the bends might hover on the line of being under pitch but I'd say that you're mostly good on this aspect.

The hardest thing about this lesson is trying to emulate that loose, bluesy feel. I hope you don't mind me linking to another post. The feedback I left Bleez is the same thing I want to say here as well, so forgive the copy/paste smile.gif

I was just about to write about feedback we gave to bleez when I saw Ben's comment smile.gif

I would be exactly the same situation here. Your overall technique is great - you play clean, in tune and you got that bite in your hands. The only thing missing is something hardest to explain - some kind of "off beat" that happens with all those bluesy ornaments when most of our inspirating idols play the blues. Is miss this in your take but it does not change the fact I did enjoy your playing once again smile.gif
