When I was 14 I made my father buy me my first guitar because I badly wanted to play Wish you were here by Pink Floyd. I got the guitar but I couldn´t play the song right away, so I started playing any new song or chord I could get my hands on - soon I was playing a lot of different styles!
Playing and Influences
David Gilmour is my first and favourite influence - I love the way the whole band sounds. My favourites bands are The Beatles, The Police, Queen, Genesis, Zeppelin and Deep Purple. When I started to attend classical guitar classes, I discovered players like John Williams, Juliam Bream, Narciso Yepes, Manuel Barrueco. At that time I was also a big Bach fan and then some friends (smarter than me) lent me three cds: Trial by Fire (Malmsteen), Surfing with the Alien (His name is "Joe") and Passion And Warefare (Steve Vai), I was totally shocked and I picked up the guitar with a new desire, there wasn't any internet or tab books available at that time, so I came out with my own version from hearing the cds over and over. I never have practiced so much since I first picked up a guitar!
At GMC
Here I have met a lot of great guitarists and a lot of friends, GMC has given me the chance to show the world the music that I love so much. I want to let the music inspire you as it did me - working here shows me that teaching is a completely diferent experience than just simple playing and makes me aware of how I was doing a lot of my playing, so thank you, you are all also my teacher.
