Hi Guys,
This lesson is for beginners but, perhaps some advanced players could get some new inspiration of this as well!
So now it's ime for some classic rock repeating lick by using the pentatonic and blues scale.
We all know the pentatonic and the blues scale and always love to use it.
Almost every guitar players use some cliche licks like the old classic pentatonic licks by using it as repeating patterns.
Players like Hendrix, Clapton, Moore, Page, Beck and many more made these licks so popular until today.
So today we gonna take a look at these basic patterns. Once you get familiar with it you can combine them and use them in your own solo of course. These pattern are always great to build a climax in your solo!!!
Here are the 12 different licks of the lesson:
Lick 1 0:04-0:08
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 2 0:10-0:14
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 3 0:16-0:20
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick41 0:22-0:26
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 5 0:28-0:32
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 6 0:34-0:38
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 7 0:40-0:44
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 8 0:46-0:50
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 9 0:52-0:56
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 10 0:58-1:02
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 11 1:04-1:08
| E5 | % | Pause |
Lick 12 1:10-1:14
| E5 | % | Pause |
Start them really slow and incrase the tempo step by step until you feel comfortable with it! Then start to move them inside the beat and you'll get another interesting accent.
Have fun! ;-)
Final words
