Monica Gheorghevici26th February 2016First of all I didn't used enough strength (I mean I used but not like for an acoustic guitar). The second stupid thing that I made was to use only hammer-on. I didn't used pull-off and I don't know why because I use this every day in my playing. Somehow the "tapping" name made me to mess the things.
But... after two weeks of wrong practice now I can play an entire song on neck pickups, using only hammer-on (no right hand involved) and with just a little amount of gain

Welcome to the Beginner legato & tapping lesson
It's an exercise with both - hammer-on/pull-off legato and tapping combined. 4 of most common variation selected for you to get familiar and prepare to use these in your own solos. Practise the strength of your fingers and ability to play clean (muting all unwanted open strings noise). Slow tempo will help you to get it done and a backing track with pleasant harmonic content, will make your practise less boring :)
Gear used (in order of connection chain placement):
1. SX SST57 electric guitar
2. Behringer MIC100 tube preamp (-20db switch on, gain and out knobs about 50%)
3. Presonus Inspire 1394 firewire audio interface (input gain 25%)
4. Poulin LeXtac vst plug-in:
- Channel - blue

- Pre EQ - brighter
- Bass 50%
- Middle 40%
- Treble 50%
