The "Fast Country Rhythm" lesson is an uptempo chicken picking style rhythm. I took some inspiration from modern players like Brad Paisley and Brent Mason. The basic idea is pick and strum, a technique where we emulate a bass player by playing alternating notes on the bottom while also strumming chords in between. While this piece is only 125 bpm, don't be fooled - your right hand will likely be aching as it is deceptively fast. The tone I'm going for is a lightly overdriven twang, so I'm using the bridge pickup, a compressor, and a slightly overdriven amp.
