    In this short piece that I composed we’ll learn how chords can be played in various positions to enable us to play melody at the same time.

    In many ways harmonies used here are typical for smooth jazz and bossa nova music, so it is not a bad idea to memorize these shapes and apply them in your own songs. Song is in the key of F# minor, and basic harmony can be viewed as I II V, with variation on the 2nd degree where D maj7 is played instead G#min7-5 as substitution.
