  • Hey guys! :) I would like to welcome you to 'J.S.Bach - Invention #8, Second Voice (part1)'!
    As some of you may already know, Mr. Bach wrote some inventions. He wrote two and three part inventions. In this lesson series you will learn one of the fifteen Bach's two part contrapuntal pieces - Invention #8, and, in this lesson I will show you the first part of a guitar transcription for the second voice (left piano hand).

    Mr. Bach would probably be thrilled if he would somehow know that one of his masterpieces ended up as a very convenient (and cool sounding) piece for practicing alternate picking on guitar...

    Anyway, the thing that you should really pay attention to is articulation.
    Sure, I could have chosen some easier fingering for this piece, but this is the best-sounding combination that I could manage to come up to. It is also very important to pay attention to the upstrokes and downstrokes, because the point is for this to sound more authentic, isn't it?

    Tuning: EBGDAE;

    Key: F major;
    Time signature: 3/4;
    Tempo: 104BPM
