  • Hi GMCers!

Welcome to my new Jazz lesson.

My intention is to demonstrate the ease of improvisation within a certain genre of music which you are not that familiar with (like me in this case), such as jazz,
using a power and simplicity of a natural Minor scale that with some additions can create really interesting passages, even if it is a pure jazz progression in the background.

Improvisation is never ending story. You need to know lot of things to improvise and compose in a right and nice way. You have to practice so that you can play right melodic lines without constantly thinking about scales, rules, keys etc... Things that sometimes destroy the basics, and that is - the emotion!

Guitar : the old trusty Ibanez 3120 Japan Custom

    Equipment : Sonar8 DAW, Guitar Rig5 plugin, Amplitube3

    Tempo : 80 bpm

    Signature : 4/4

    Chord progression : Gm/Gm9/Am7/D9-/F.B/.

    Key signature : G minor
