Hello Arpejoes! Thanks for writing, man. I use the best multi-effect: The Boss GT-8. (For me). I investigate a lot before buying this beauty and have chosen correctly. Many have criticized this multi-effect bad for being difficult to handle. Such people are not willing to lift a finger to get the best sound at the level of Vai, Satriani and guitarist you want. In the event that you get the Gt-8, I have no problem spend my presets and save 3 years of research. Right now I'm at work, but when in my house, I detail my sound configuration. Hi friends! Today we study a very interesting style. So relax, lower the lights, prepare a drink and light a cigarette. Studying this style allows us to learn the essence of all styles. The application of the taste, the vibrato and bending are fundamental and important elements for all styles. In this style is more obvious and makes us study it easier.
If I have to recommend an artist of this style, I recommend the best of all: Michael Bolton. Is not the one, but is the best for me. Besides enjoying this amazing singer with bluesy influences, one can enjoy the excellent musicians of his band, his guitarist is excellent!
Well folks, hope you enjoy the lesson as I did.
In this lesson I use a sound respecting this style:
- Nice distortion (same of tube screamer, OD-1, etc), light compressor, with some delay and reverb.
Chords:
G - F#7 - Bm7 - Em7 - A - D - A/C# - D/F# -
(Although the song begins with the G chord that does not mean that the lesson is in that hue. Always bear in mind that. If a song has seven chords, you can start from any of those.)
