You are using downstrokes and upstrokes in quite an unusual way - looks like the high e string is played with an upstroke and the other strings are played with an downstroke in the first section. In the other sections it gets more complicated I think, difficult to understand for me. Is there a method to the madness? ;-)
Thanks man!! For me, it’s always important to select the right picking pattern in the most natural way depending on where I want the accents to be. In this case, the upstroke on the E string was less “strong” than a downstroke so the arpeggio keeps up until the next strong accent, which is the lowest note of the new chord.

Hey guys!
In this lesson, we will play a chord progression in which we focus on picking control and harmonies.
Basically, it’s an etude in A, developed through a sequence of a few 5 note voicing chords with extensions.
You can play it using your picks or with the fingers of your picking hand.
