  • Hello GMC!

    Let's have some fun and play some aggressive, fast and hard hitting punk rock. This lesson is inspired by the legendary punk rock band "Rancid", and specifically the song "Roots Radicals", of course with a few variations so it's more suitable for beginners.

    We are going to play just a few power chords. If you don't know much about power chords, here you can find a great lesson on it : Power Chords For Beginners

    Tuning:
    *Standard
    * E - A - D - G - B - E
    (From thick to thin)

    Techniques:
    * Rhythm

    Equipment:
    * Vintage Fender Stratocaster (American Standard) with Dimarzio chopper on the bridge, vintage ibanez on the mid and a vintage fender stock on the neck.
    * Art Tube Pre Amp
    * Overloud TH2
    * Recabinet (for some parts)
    * Logic Pro

    For the short solo we will be using the C minor pentatonic scale:
