  • Hi guys!

We will talk about the use of four diferent arpeggios over the same chord.

    Let´s start with the chord F#m7 dorian (from E tonality = E7+ F#m7 G#m7 A7+ B7 C#m7 D#m7b5)

    Ok, now we open this chord and we get the notes : F# + A + C# + E

Take a look at the E tonality and see how these notes got hamonized:
    E7+ F#m7 G#m7 A7+ B7 C#m7 D#m7b5

These will be the four chords to use over the F#m7.
It will sound very cool and modern, it´s different to use only the same arpeggio over the chord you are playing. Using these alternatives enables your guitar to sound more intersting exploring other intervals like 9th, 11th, 13th...

I´ve created a pattern using strings skipping. The same pattern repeats over the four arpeggios. I remember that I listened to Niacin (Billy Sheehan, Dennis Chambers, John Novello) doing one similar idea like this one!

I´m playing with the pick and fingers of my right hand, making what is called "hybrid picking". Some guitar players prefer to pick all notes. So, you decide what technique you like more and what combines with your style of playing and go practice :)

And to finish the line I´ve ended with a lick over the F#m7 pentatonic scale adding some out notes.
I´ll explain everything forward. Hope you enjoy and this can help your skills! Best my friends!
