  • Hello everybody, today I´m bringing you a traditional style from my province San Juan. It is called a Zamba. It is a slow song usually played with percussion (bombo legúero) and it has a constant polyrhythm between 3/4 (on the bass) and 6/8 the lead (hence here the syncopa is heard).
This particular zamba has a very common structure, 12 measures where the "lyrics" (no lyrics today sorry) are two verses of 4 measures each and the second verse is played twice, so on chorus of this zamba is 12 measures. An 8 measure introduction has been made for this zamba.
This song was composed specially for GMC by German Abarca who is a professional folklore guitar player, so I hope you like it!
