  • Playing over a repetitive backing track made out of only one or two chords can be quite challenging. That is what this lesson is about. When doing so, you need to be well equipped with an arsenal of licks that will make your improvisation sound more prepared and help you be able to think about what to play next.

    The following ideas are meant to be played without thinking about them freeing you to enjoy what you are playing and mentally prepare your next move without the frustration of concentrating on what you are playing.

    We'll be playing in an E Dorian key using a mix of minor pentatonic and chromatic scale ideas.
