Thanks a lot mate!
Wow ! Absolutely stunning, Ivan ! You manage to play very fast, but keeping a very nice, calm sound to it !
Thanks guys, means a lot, cheers
Great! Love it! Gotta learn this!
3 words...MUST Learn, bookmarked!
Nice playing Ivan!
Hi Ivan
Lot of emotion in this lesson.. I really loved it. Not to difficult for me to cope, I think, but that can be misleading when you look at it...
Good tone also. Congrats with your GR3
Unfortunately for me I can't use this beautiful presets cause I still am using the gearbox :-))
Cool lesson!
Haha, you need to iron your curtain
Thanks man for you feedback I appreciate it. I'm aware that there is a bit faster part in the middle, but you can simplify it, or simply skip it to learn other parts. The point or learning this solo is to learn some new moves and licks and inspire you to create new ones. Let me know if you want any help or question, I'll be glad to help mate. Cheers
its a really cool lesson.. i like the start so much.. its kind a shame that you do suddenly play so fast.. do you improvise alot when you do that?
course its really hard to do the art just like you..
and they say that this is beginner stuff.. i can't agree with you there.. its really a cool lesson, but all you bends and the speed is not for beginners.
but thanks again for a really cool lesson!
Thanks a lot guys!
@nighthawk
Will do something similar soon mate.
I got goosebumps of that !!Are you doing a continuation of this one?
Great stuff Ivan! I shall be working on this immediately!!! :-)

Great playing, Ivan! Cool tone.
Thanks a lot!
Very nice Ivan !!

Nice one Ivan
Thank you people!
Great solo Ivan, GR3 sounds really cool here !
Lots of feeling in this one !! Good job
Super tone and playing
It's never enough of rock ballads! Thanks Ivan, great job
Really nice:)
Just beautiful Ivan!
Hi GMC-ers, welcome to my new lesson, this time we are doing some atmospheric ballad soloing. :)
I recently transferred to new audio hardware and using Guitar Rig 3 for guitar modeling starting from this lesson. If anybody is interested in getting the GR3 preset for this lesson (or other future lessons) post a request on my board.
Since the lesson is slow-paced, I'm giving some extra backing tempos with the increase of 2bpm per backing for more effective practicing.
This lesson is in the key of G minor, and we are using the progression bellow:
| Gm | Cm7 Dm7 |
| Gm | Cm7 Dm7 |
| Gm | Bb major F major |
| Gm | Bb major F major | Gm |
Tempo is 60 bpm.
In this lesson focus is on the feel for the slow rhythm, accenting the notes on the beat, legato, mixed AP and EP picking, and some arpeggiated lines as well. We are using some quantuplet notes as well in the middle of the solo to add a flowing motion to the solo.
If you have any questions about this lesson feel free to ask, and I will respond ASAP.
Have fun playing! :)
