Yes dexxter i am using drop D on the main video, i didnt think to retune to standard after making the backing track which requires me to be in drop because of a couple chord voicings
Sorry, I am blind
Just noticed a thing, you have missed uploading a long looped backing
Are you using drop-d on the main video?
Awesome lesson, Mitch. I especially like the intro video with the explaination of your thoughts behind choosing the notes that you do. Well done!
Great topic Mitch, and welcome once again!
Great lesson and welcome!
This was sweeeeeeeeet, welcome once more!
nice first lesson
Killer first lesson! Welcome to GMC!
Beautiful lines,useful lesson !
Great lesson and welcome
Thanks everyone for the great comments, i'm pumped to see how many views this got on the first day!
And seeing that people say it reminds them of Guthrie and Eric Johnson is a real compliment! Also, Alexiaden93 I will look into that right away, and as far as Iron Maiden, I used to a long time ago and I will definately take that into consideration, possibly do a lesson on building Iron Maiden style harmonies and the theory behind it. I just got done recording another lesson tonight, and hopefully will have it cooked up in the next couple days, this one is completely different however... ITS COUNTRY!!!!
If anyone has any questions on the lesson, feel free to send me a PM or post it here and i will get back to you as soon as possible
-Mitch
Not to be too picky, but seeing as this lesson is so great, loads of people will probably want to learn it straight away, so I would just like to mention a small mistake in the TABs...
In video 3, what you play (the first few notes) doesn't seem to correspond with the TABs, and in video 4 the TABs from the previous video are repeated.
You're one great player, Mitch ! Welcome to GMC ! Do you do Iron Maiden BTW ? (YES THIS IS A LESSON REQUEST !)
Stunning technique Mitch, and a great lesson.
Look forward to next lessons.
Also very good you explained the theory what you are trying to teach in the vid.
By the way I must add - this gives me some Eric Johnson vibes, so does your guitar's fretboard!
Very nice licks also
Awesome lesson!
And I like your taste in guitars!
Great first lesson, I think this lesson has a solid construction and purpose Welcome again Mitch!

Awesome first lesson Mitch! Welcome to GMC !
Interesting ideas. Welcome Mitch!
Very cool and well produced lesson man!
Great first lesson Mitch. Welcome once again
I have listened to every lesson on this site. This is unique and useful, a good exercise, with a stressed emphasis that sweeps (arpeggios) need not be limited to basic minor and major chords. Ian and others have done some of this, but I can't think of a lesson that stresses that concept to the extent that you have here. It is also a good physical exercise beneficial to general finger dexterity development.
I agree with Kaz ^. It is really useful to see the thought process of creating the lesson.
I think it is very helpful.
Nice lesson btw.
a little feedback: your first video really rocks! The fact that you explain what you did is very very good!!
Wow! I love this solo! The first part rocks so hard
