Motive Development Solo in Bb Major

Hello GMC!
Welcome to my Motive development solo in Bb major.

This lesson is part of lesson series in Bb major. In previous lessons we have learned how to apply 4 note arpeggios (inversion) in a fun way using interesting chord progression. In this lesson I have taken the same chord progression but applied Bb major scale, Bb major pentatonic as well as arpeggios.

The purpose of this lesson is to teach you to create space in your solos and let your melodies breathe more. Another thing you can learn a lot from this lesson is Repetition. On numerous times I have repeated the exact same rhythm, or exact melodic shape which immediately creates interest in listeners ear.

Having said all those things, here are things that this lesson contain and that you will learn:

- Using rests in solos
- Using repetition (rhythmic as well as melodic)
- Creating different endings for motives (development)
- Using syncopated vs straight rhythm (up beat vs down beat rhythm)
- Using 4 note arpeggios
- Using major scale
- Using major and minor pentatonic
- Great way to approach songwriting etc
