Hello GMC!
-In this lesson we are going to apply all the concepts we covered in the Walking Bass Concept Series to the Ska type of backing track in order to improvise a bass line.
-You will learn new groove ideas, incorporate arpeggios knowledge when choosing the notes to play and experiment with a Ska type of progression. Generally , this lesson will show you how all these concepts we covered on jazz examples can be used in other genres as well.
-This lesson is in the key of D, you will use appropriate arpeggios for improvising your walking bass line.
-Key: D
-Tempo: 140 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Tuning: standard
-Difficulty: beginner/intermediate
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Am Fender Jazz Bass deluxe, equal mix of both pickups with added bass and middle on onboard preamp - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and flat eq there.
Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson's feedback and in my instructor board at the forum.
Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun walking this one!
