Lovely sound and lesson
Thanks Canis,that's good Epiphone
Wow.... Magical!
And that's an extremely beautiful guitar!
Appreciate it.
great melody!!!
good job Muris
Glad you've found it,thanks!
Awesome Muris, love the guitar
You mean which fingers am I using here?
Everything except pinky.
nice lesson, but finger are you using with your right hand?:/
Thanks a lot,appreciate it!
great lesson, my brother loves it and is still working on it.you are amazing!
ps.typo..his name is Tommmy Emmanuel not Tony
what an awesome guitar player
Thanks,glad you like it
It's Epiphone,Chat Atkins model.
hey, what guitar is that?
i've always wanted a nylon string guitar and that one looks BEAUTIFUL...
cool lesson too, btw
i never got any lesson on fingerpicking so this is gonna keep me fired up for a while
hi muris gr8 job please add some more melodious stuff like this I would like to learn some finger picking
Thank you
Thanks mate!!
Thant's a really good lesson !!!!! congratulations, you have a lot to show
Thank you soo much,appreciate it!
Haven't done acoustic lesson in a while, must check out my routine for sure
your right hand looks so smooth when you are finger picking. im gettin' me an acoustic soon and i am going to lean this one for sure. thank you muris for another GREAT lesson. you are a verry good instructor, and one of the best here at gmc.
Thanks, glad that my work inspired you to join GMC!
i signed up primarily to learn this lick (although i'm finding the whole website to be awesome!). spent the whole day practicing and can't wait until i can play the whole thing with the backing tracks!
great lesson!!!
Glad you have nice time with this one, thanks!!
You have good practice routine, combining slow and speed stuff.
Will do more of these,no worries.
Muris this is a gorgeous song, I can play it and I love it. I practise speed riffs - then I play this - then I practise speed riffs some more - then I play this again Really nice backing too, very relaxing. Your technique is totally cool, please write some more fingerpicking tunes for us!!
No problem at all, glad you like it!!
The guitar in this lesson is Epiphone Chet Atkins model and it has pickup inside the bridge.
About music of this sort...try Tony Emmanuel(tho he's a more complex player) or Chet Atkins in a first place.
And yeah,I'll do my best to make more of these lessons in a future.
Cheers!!
Hi Muris, I have been practicing this lesson which to be honest is a bit of a stretch for me but..... I am making progress.
Where can I get more of this sort of music?
Do you have any more plans to put some more lessons of this sort on GMC?
Oh an finally... What make and modal of guitar are you using in the lesson clips. It sounds great and looks good too. Does it have internal pick ups?
Lots of questions... apologies if it fels like a grilling.
Guernseyman
Great lesson however for the newbies out there a brief explanation of natural harmonics and the use of the P.I.M.A picking technique would be useful.
Keep up the good work hope there is more to come!!
Al
You can call it as a composition of course, but I made this piece for this lesson.
Maybe I'll use for some material in future, who knows.
And thanks,glad you like it!!!
sounds great! Is it your composition?
coo, thanks muris
Of course
You can play regular C major and A minor..
I putted those just to make lesson more funny
I hate to give up, but are there easier chord subs for those two chords?
Thank mygeetar, have a nice time with it until you get you electric!
Dash, you're probably thinking of two chords,
C maj 7/9 and A min 7/9.
Yes,those grips might me tricky for the first time but they are great stuff for your left hand, stretching and nice chords to play as well.
It will increase your stamina too.
Don't give up
my mom wont let me get an electric for a year so i appreciate this acoustic lesson.
thank you so much!!!!
oh, and one thing, that weird lick after the harmonics is not easy.
Thanks guys!
Dashooter:that's right thing to do,work out over backing tracks to improve your timing.
Latter on,you are not going to have problems joining the band or som.
But still try some stuff with metronome, just to get used to it.
Have fun!
great lesson. This site has really improved by timing. I hate using a metrome, but I still want to improve my timing. So what I do is I learn all the solos on this site and use the backing tracks to improve my timing. I don't really have anybody to play with so this works out great!
just an unbeleivable sound!!!! sickness!!!
Hell yeah David,guys are cool!!
Band is called Illusion I think and I wish video was better..great stuff, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for lesson comment tho
That was a neat piece Muris - inspired me to dust off the ol' acoustic - thanks .
Speaking of Mr. Di Meola I was watching a band on YouTube last week playing one of his tunes from the 'Casino' album and it was brilliant - perfect take from the band.
Their name doesn't seem to be listed - a Greek band they are. Love that album do you know it? Anyway if you do, you might like to have a listen here and see what you think ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zvey0zt5PM

Good Lesson
Yeah,why not:)
Tho it's hard to do it without nails but will try something with the pick.
Like DiMeola on Friday Night In SF.
ohhh different styles on acoustic sounds amazing!!! any chance of some flamenco or classical??
Lovely stuff Muris-Very musical!
Well done!
-Ben
cool!
wow, nice lesson!
Looks like you really like it,appreciate it!
GuitarDude: It's bad to split electric a lot from acoustic, guitar is guitar after all.
nrpstreetballa: I'll do my best and make more lessons like this, maybe in some different styles but still on acoustic
woohoo!!!! great lesson, will you do more acoustic lessons?
Awesome muris! I just put new strings on my acoustic so I'm going to start it It sounds great.
ooh I love the sound of acoistic guitars but i hate to play at em xD
