Thanks
Great lesson
Thanks Carlos
good job and nice lesson Dejan!!!
thank you
nice lesson.
Thanks guys
_ninja_ I don't usually plant my thumb prior to playing the string, I hit the string with the thumb (together with nail) and produce the sound, but when you plant the thumb you have to use another technique of plucking by use of thumb joints (you don't move the whole thumb)
but what I usually do is to rest the thumb on 6th string when convenient, especially when playing apoyando
Great lesson Dejan! This is an awesome lesson for people who want to learn fingerstyle. I think classical and Spanish style, and especially Flamenco is just awesome! Great first lesson!
Hi Dejan, great piece! I was wondering, do you plant any fingers of the right hand on the string in preparation for playing that string? Like the thumb when you play the open A string or the seconde fret on the D string?
Great to hear that
It would be good if you can record it and upload it to check how you're going
I love this!!! Thanks Dejan, I have almost finished learning it, I will just speed it up over time like the other classical lessons i have learnt
Thank you all
Guernseyman - the tip for the right hand is patience, just don't rush with the speed, take your time and practice the speed that suits you the most, so you can really feel the each tone. Some more classical etudes for right hand practicing will come soon
Welcome to GMC. Nice lesson and choice of music!
Wow Dejan you make it look so easy. It is great that you took the time to film 4 differing views of what is going on. I think that really helps.
Do you have any exercises or tips for speeding up the right hand technique?
Good job Dejan and welcome to GMC.
THis is great stuff Dejan. Keep sending classical lessons, they are very interesting
Awesome lesson Dejan, and great tip about the mirror!

Kizaze44 - if you learn to control the movement of the left hand, you can do the same with the right hand as well

Wow! Great technique Dejan!
Cool first lesson dude...
Great lesson! I will learn this one! I was always intimidated by fingerpicking until I found GMC. With great doubt, I tried Kosei's Spanish Romance and it came to me pretty quickly. If anyone's in the same boat - give it a go - you might surprise yourself.

I like playing acoustic/classic very much, great stuff!
Great lesson Dejan, my dad used to play this song on his classical when I was little, it's a beautiful piece.
Cheers

coffeeman - great observation, Asturias is one of my favorite pieces
Very nice lesson Dejan. This song has a Isaac Albeniz feeling , is the same style? Reminds me of Asturias.
Very Cool.
