Hi everyone and welcome to my first lesson! :) It's the classical 'Etude in A Minor' by Dionisio Aguado (1978-1849) a Spanish classical guitarist and composer, which I play almost everyday to warm up the right hand fingers.
Throughout the piece we have the identical right hand fingerings, middle finger is playing the 1st string, index finger the 2nd string, while the thumb is taking care of all other strings.
The piece is fairly easy to play in slow tempo and I don't think you'll have a problem to learn it, but the challenge is to play it at 120 bpm (and even faster), but expressively being aware of each note (not just holding your breath and trying to play as fast as possible). The speed will develop through practice, so don't rush with the speed and focus on clear picking of the strings at a slow tempo.
My arrangement of the piece is that I accent in 3 levels, the thumb plays the melody so it has the strongest accent, the middle finger has a medium accent and the index finger is without accent.
And the most important part, relax as possible while playing the guitar, it helps if you put the mirror in front of you to observe the way you sit, your shoulders, arms, fingers while you play and than you can notice if you are tense (sometimes it is hard to feel the tension, but it is different when you see it) and then let the tension go, don't fight it because you may become more tense :)
