Canon in D - Bossa

Hello everyone. Today I bring you this piece I composed for the "Pachabel Canon" event that is going on in GMC. I took one the themes from this popular piece, turned it to minor mode and made it a bossa, so here it is. 



There is an introduction with the melody on the top (the original canon has this melody exposed on the bass). I chose these chords as an homage to Joe Hisaishi (a film music composer). 



Then we have the bossa theme. At the beginning it may be kinda difficult to get the association between this and the original theme, but in measure 25 the theme is clearly recognizable. At the end there is a little coda, a very rhythmical one.
