Hello friends of GMC! I wanted to create a lesson that was useful in a very essential aspect: rasgueos or rasgueados (strums).
In this lesson I use four of the most important types: combination of ami (anular, medio and índice) or ñami (with meñique or little finger), and even only mi; rasgueo of abanico, used in many situations, specially in fast passages, that gives the music ternary flow; another with ternary feel, similar to abanico rasgueo, played with index and ring fingers; and finally one with binary feel, with index and middle when you go down and thumb when you go up.
Rasgueo is basically a rythm apply to one or more chords, so the most important thing is rhythm. Any rythm can be played with rasgueo, and almost any kind of rasgueo can be used in a particular rythmic phrase, too: only depends of your creativity.
But, on the other hand, is obvious that there are some kinds of rasgueos that are used very frequently in flamenco music: just the rasgueos that I show you in this lesson.
