Strumming Power Chords Lesson

Hello GMC !!
-Today we are going to strum some power chords on bass.This is not used very often in bass lines but its very useful technique for making you sound fuller and to fill a lot of space when such thing is needed , for example over guitar solos in bands with one guitar, breaks or when you just need a plain bass roar..Great example of this technique can be heard on Stanley Clark's - School Days.

-To get this down I composed a rocking tune for you to practice playing power chords constantly throughout the song.You will practice strumming different note values, muting with the left hand, and right hand coordination..

-I used A major scale on this one.

-Key: A
-Tempo: 150 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Tuning : standard
-Difficulty: beginner/intermediate

Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added bass and treble on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis(eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position).
