Thanks for the comment mate
Thanks!!!! Great lesson.
You're welcome
Ah ok i see your point, thanks.
Hi Sentenced. Playing quarter notes - I think these are the "places" that you wrote - there's no need to keep the movement for playing sixteenth notes. At least, this works well for me at this speed. But if you want, you can move your hand up and down also for the longest notes, if you feel more comfortable.
I have a question according to the strumming, i thought its best to have your struming hand going all the time up and down and hitting the strings when needed so you have a steady up and down going. But you seem to break free from this structure at some places, why?
Great lesson Jerry. Open string chords sound so great.
Hi johsk, maybe this lesson
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-less...ords-strumming/
could help you to understand how strumming patterns work.
hey it would be nice to have it a little longer so you can have some examples of the strumming even slower...or just have the up down strumming written out...for us not so good players
great job and fantastic lesson!!!
thanks
Fresh progression.
Hey Slash Jr,
thanks for your post.
So, do you mean single notes?
Check this out:

sorry i was thinking about how many open chords there were, what i meant to say is can u add some singles next time
jammer91: all of the nylon lessons can be done on steel, nylons a bit easier for fingerpicking, but that shouldn't stop you.
Babe I'm gonna leave you - led zeppelin
Great lesson Jerry. Could u use more open chords next time?
Cool stuff
jammer91: Sure! I will do acoustic lessons, using chords and single notes combined.
I have a similar yamaha acoustic i just bought few months back (think its the same one it was like $200).
Im not really sure how to use my acoustic properly. I like this lesson a lot and there are some few other good acoustic lessons too (but theyre all finder picking to be played on a nylon string).
Could you come up with more lessons for steel string (using chords and single notes combined)?
Thanks
That sounded execellent.. I think everyone would appreciate more acoustic chord progressions. Simple to pick up and fun to play! Makes for a nice distinction between what should be played on an acoustic and an electric.
Jeffrey: I don't know Barenaked Ladies.. I will listen to this tune.
I learn a lot of new songs, teaching here! :|
This is great! I loved it i will learn to asap! also, you should do a lesson on the techique used in the song Crazy by Barenaked Ladies. it looks... well it looks crazy lol
FretDancer69: I schedule this one and I will make it as soon as possible.
Hey Jerry, do you think you could do a lesson on using Arpeggios that sound good with this chord progression? Great lesson btw
A very fun lesson indeed!
Arrivederci a presto (some like see you soon) Eat-Sleep-andJam!! :-)
Well without the backing track I can play it perfectly, you know what that means, Back to the drawing board - Arriverdici, John
Yeah Pacman is has a Dave Matthews vibe
Jerry youve done it again ! Im working on this , your other funky groove lessons and some alternate picking stuff
Bravo - John
ahh sounds very nice...i really needed this lesson to improve my acoustic playing! Thanks jerry!
Uhm... I don't know this song, right now.
I will listen to it.
that reminds me alot of dave matthew's Crash Into Me, the intro...
I like
Nice chords! Good work Jerry!
Thank you, guys!
The guitar is a Yamaha FGX-412.
It's not an expensive guitar, but it's sound good.

Awesome, I needed this, I only fingerpick at the moment because I can't strum to save my bum.
