hey pavel!!!great lesson!!! fantastic!!!
thanks...
Thanks Pavel for this lesson! Sounds great and is a lot of fun. I like the other lessons from this series too keep up the awesome work!
does it matter if i use my ring finger and bar the chords instead of using my long finger and ring finger together... also its easier and faster for me to use my 1st finger and my ring finger and pinky on the stretches from 5 to 7 to 9.. you use your long finger.. just wondering if it matters or im making some bad habits..
Yeah! Metal Metal Metal :-D
I wouldn't agree that downstrokes are neccessarely heavier. Take a look at Rusty Cooley's work with Outworld - heavy as hell and still he doesn't play only downstrokes.
What I ment with more "metal/heavy" was just the sound difference of a up or down stroke. Not the picking style;)
I just think 2 downstrokes sounds heavier than down/up stroke. Cause there is something called a more metal/heavier sound, right?
But I argee with you on your anwer stylewise:)
Thanx
Pavel, I am just diving into metal, please do not stop this series of lessons. m/ O m/
Very Cool Riffage!
Rock on Dude ! It would be neat if you did something like this ( Metal or Shred Based ) but did the three level solo type thing like Marcus does, Nice lesson!

whoa.... deja vu here... i was practicing this same riff (without the little sliding part)earlier today... awesome lesson!

Pretty cool Pavel.I think this will help many on GMC
once again thank you for thinking of beginner people such as myself it is really appreciated
warm regards symon
There is no such thing as more metal or less metal. There is the thing which goes: can you play it or not? That's the only thing that matters.
Can you tell Petrucci he is less metal than somebody else because he plays riffs with alternate picking? I don't think so!
I see you use down&up strokes on part 4. isn´t it more "metal/heavier" to just use down strokes?
But, yes.. it´s harder to do it down&up so I guess it´s good for practice;)
Thanks for a great lesson:D
Kjetil
