  • Hello friends of GMC! In this opportunity we will learn to play in the Lacuna coil style.

Lacuna Coil is a group of metal/rock formed in Milan, Italy in 1994. The band has been influenced by groups like Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Tiamat, Anathema, Septic Flesh, Black Sabbath, Type o Negative, Imago Mortis, Depeche Mode, In Flames, Amorphis, among others. Lacuna Coil has taken part in the biggest festivals of metal in the whole world, including Ozzfest, Bloodstock Open Air, Waken Open Air, and in the Loud park Festival in Japan. Nowadays they are considered like one of the bands more influential rock and metal in Italy, as well as one of the Italian bands with major abroad success.

    Current members of the band
    • Cristina Scabbia - Voices
    • Andrea Ferro - Voices
    • Cristiano Migliore - Guitar
    • Marco Biazzi - Guitar
    • Marco Coti Zelati - Bass
    • Cristiano Mozzati - Drums

In the backing track we can listen to powerful guitars, arrangements of strings in Gm, A#, Cm, Dm and D #. This lesson is divided in different parts: introduction (generating the perfect sound of the band) chords (different positions and progressions), powerful riffs (the perfect element to create music of the style) and guitar arrangements, which are developed along the lesson! We'll use some techniques as alternate picking, vibrato, slides and palm muting in this lesson.
