    Welcome to my second Rythm-lesson, thank you for your patience :)

    So, we´ve got the "Rythm A and B scheme" again, like in my first lesson, so you can choose what suits you fine, a bit better. The beginning of this one is an effect I heared quite often, and had no clue how to make it! So I decided to show you different ways on how to create that one. The Lesson includes 16th-note-lines with lots of breaks and stops, hammerings, pulls, Powerchords with low fifths, and of cause I screw up everything with another clichee ending ;)

    Sounds like a lot, huh?

    Well, listening to my favourit bands, I realised that many of them use kinda like "openstring-rythm-figures" a lot (Part 2 etc.). This can sound really heavy, even if the guitar is NOT tuned down, don´t you agree? If you don´t force the listener to a minor or major feel, and use less notes as possible, the riff-idea can become a real neck breaker. And even a timesignature of 145BPM can sound quite fast, don´t you agree?

    In this lesson I´ll show, how I use them in different ways, creating different impressions, by changing as less notes, but adding stops, for a change! In combination with powerchords the great Mr. Blackmoore and Black Sabbath used back in time (in Part 4), we can make a regular tuned guitar sound really brutal, even if we use less gain...how about that ?:)

    Another Idea behind this one, is of cause : YOU NEED STOPS IN MUSIC! So, if there appears to be problems with this one, practice with the metronome or the slower playbacks, and make sure you get the beat. I also find, this one shows us also a bit, how versatile a 4/4 beat can become, if you use your creativity to create more RYTHM and less melodies :)

    Ok, beginners and even advanced players LISTEN! It might be also usefull to clap this one first with your hands, using the metronome, before you try to get into the technical stuff, on your guitars ;)
