  • Playing in a band when you are the only guitar player can be a delicate situation. You have to create interesting parts and blend lead and rhythm elements in a very natural way. This lesson should inspire you create a metal style rhythm part with some lead type interactions.

    There are two different keys in today's track. The first one will be in A Phrygian Dominant, which is basically a Phrygian mode with a Major 3rd. The second key will be A Harmonic minor.

    Study the scales and work on the examples slowly. Once you are comfortable with these, try to create your own guitar parts.
