Hi GuitarMasterFriends! Welcome to the 5/4 solo lesson, as you can see this a serie that starts with the beginner lesson.

With this lesson I want to introduce you to the fantastic world of the unregular time signatures :D It's amazing how interesting compositions you can do using this compass! So when you take a look at the lesson you can try to improvise something over this Backing Tracks ;)

Techniques:
Bending, pentatonic licks, sweep, arpegios, obstinato (pedal notes) etc.

How to count:
You can start counting 1,2,3,4,5 but in fact this compass is lick a 1,2,3,1,2 so if you have problem with the chord changes you can start just counting over the lesson or backing tracks.

The scale
Well, I think all of you know this scale, it's a E minor. I only added a chromatic note in the triples part (last compass).

Who uses this compass??
A lot of progresive bands. For instance Dream Theater, Symphony X, Spastik Inc, Circus Maximum, Overlife, Pain of Salvation, Freak Kitchen etc.
