Today we'll focus on the blues note. What is the blues note? The blues note is the flat 5th often used as a passing tone in the minor pentatonic.

Today's lesson will focus specifically on that note. Instead of using it as a quick passing tone, we'll accentuate that note.

It will sound tensed and bizarre, but that's the desired effect we want.
Start by memorizing the following licks, then experiment on your own and create your own licks.

To make things a bit more interesting, we'll play in 3 different keys:
A min, G min and E min.
