  • For this lesson I composed a little kind of Choro or Chorinho, a Brazilian kind of music. You can hear Hermeto Pascoal's "Bebe", or "Meu caro amigo" from Chico Buarque and listen to a real Choro.

This music it's kind of a lament, and it has the particularity of being in perpetual motion. I created this motion and the sensation of the Choro but I didn't respected the form of this kind of music, and obviously not the harmony as well.

I took this kind of feeling to bring to you the concept of playing the Ionian and Lydian mode over a major 7th chord. In this case, like I'm used to do the harmony is in C to make it easier for you to see what is happening. I hope you enjoy this rhythm.

If you want you can play it faster to have fun and create the feeling of a real Choro.
