  • Hi GMC! Welcome to this new lesson! Today we will work with the major and minor pentatonic scale at the same time.

The major pentatonic scale is composed by 5 notes: The fundamental, second, major third, fifth just and major sixth.

The minor pentatonic scale is composing by 5 notes too: The fundamental, minor third, just fourth, just fifth and minor seventh like we worked in last lesson.

In this solo I use the major and minor pentatonic to obtain a solo in the style of rock/blues. I recommend using the backing track of the lesson to practice the mix of both pentatonic scales in the different shapes slowly like in the other lesson, and then play the solo like an example of what you can do with both pentatonic scales.

The idea of this work is getting a good control of both pentatonic scales at every moment.

The backing track is G and Gm all the time, one bar G and one bar Gm.

I hope you like the lesson!
