  • As you know, guitar is one of the most expressive instruments of today's music. That is because there are many ways to approach a note using slides, bends, vibrato and so forth. This lesson will take through some of the ideas you can use to spice up your musical creations with some of these effects.

To make things a little more interesting, we'll use two different keys. We'll start in D Aeolian, then modulate to C Aeolian and finally end in D Aeolian.

We'll try to mix together the Aeolian mode with the minor pentatonic scale.

Once you are comfortable with the different ideas explored, experiment on the backing track and try to make these licks your own by adding your own personality to them.

    Practice well!
