Five Pentatonic Tapping Patters You Must Know - 95 bmp - B minor

In this study you are going to learn five basic to advance, tapping sequences based on the B minor pentatonic. Actually we combine to pentatonic shape together, I & II. Shape I with legato (hammer-on and pull-off), and the first notes of shape II with tapping. Start practicing slowly, one sequence at once, as soon as you memorize it, speed up to tempo.


Techniques Focus
----------------

I prefer to tap notes with my middle finger, while holding the pick in standard position. To mute strings use the right hand palm on the one above, and left hand fingers on the ones below.


Theory Focus
------------

A pentatonic scale is a musical scale with five pitches per octave in contrast to an heptatonic (seven note) scale such as the major scale.

Pro Tips
--------

Many people likes to use an hair-band to mute unwanted noise, from other strings. I think this is lame and it's only necessary with extreme tapping, specially when more then two has to fret. A bit of practice with gets you used to to it whit your hands.
