I have to agree with you - and although this lesson was produced more then 10 years ago and then exported into the current lesson format/template, it's not really a good excuse.
Hopefully you can find other lessons that match your expectations better, we have a lot of cool Slash coverage.
And I should really think about a new Slash lesson - he is still one of my major influences.

Slash198526th November 2017I have just joined after looking through the slash lessons, I was looking forward to this , I feel actually it's a bit lacking , I was expecting about 19 licks except after each lick we are told to work it into our improvising , I do that anyway and after being told once is there a need to repeat it for each section . Worst of all the 5 th lick does not feature a video of the lick that is tabbed at the bottom , instead it features the video that goes with the 6th lick??!! I hate to pick holes but I was expecting a lot and it was a bit disappointing , as I am currently doing another slash course and they provide much clearer licks and info. Sorry guys but constructive criticism is supposed to be a good thing, I hope you won't hold it against me. Going to check some of he other slash lessons now

The "r" means you release your bend you started with the first note. The following "p" means, you pull from released tone down to the 5th fret.
Simple:
1. Bend 7th fret g string1 (don't release it)
2. 8th fret e string
3. 8th fret b string
4. release the bend from the g string
5. pull off to 5th fret g string
and so on
For the second question:
I guess Chris forgot the "r" here ^^

It really is a good lesson for quick thinking show-off improviseation (i hate it when people put me in a spot and ask me to quick thinkingly play something new). Maybe you should put it up on the main page (for newcomers who havent seen it yet).
I have a few questions:
- What does the "rp" stand for in the vid 1 TAB?
- What does the "bp" stand for in the vid 2 TAB (im guessing bend pull-off, but how do you play that)?

No matter what Slash plays, he does it like no one else. Doesn't matter if the run is fast or slow.
In this lesson we will break down licks, phrases and runs that are essential to emulate Slash's playing. The goal is for you to make your own improvised solos sound a bit more like Slash's. Hopefully you will get started right away with the supplied backing tracks.
But before we get started you must realise this:
1. This is the first "in the style of" / improviastion lesson here. There will be no exact transcription of the examples I play - instead, you are about to realise the whole key to Slash's playing is to take basic patterns and make them your own.
2. Before you can start improvising with the licks/patterns, you need to play them over and over with a metronome. There is no short-cut here. However, if you have already played some Slash solo or lick, some of the things presented here will be easy for you to learn.

1 A minor pentatonic scale
2 A minor scale (also calles aeolian)
