Thank you so much for such a great lesson!!!!
very nice and musical lesson
Oh yeah, muting is crucial
but it'll become natural after a while!
Thanks, Muris.
I just found this lesson on muting which was quite helpful:
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-less...g-101-tutorial/
Believe it or not, I had no idea I should be doing this stuff. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me.
I also pretty much use index finger to damp lower strings.
But it has something to do with bending technique as well
since you shouldn't go too much bellow strings when doing bend,
it's matter of feel and technique, you'll get there
with more practicing and playing, no worries.
This is a very nice lesson, I'm having fun working on it.
I have a question that is slightly tangential. There's a full-step bend on the b-string at the 8'th fret. To get this to sound in pitch I'm pushing it into the next two strings, and my technique is sloppy enough that I'm getting noise from them, sometimes on the release, sometimes in the middle of the bend. What's the right way to prevent this? It's a 3rd finger bend, so I'm trying to damp the strings with my index finger, but if the other strings get trapped under the tip of the 3rd finger, then they're effectively fretted and the damping doesn't work.
Any help would be appreciated. Maybe there's a lesson somewhere else on damping string noise?
Nothing much, it's just glowing.
What's up with the glowing pick ? Nice lesson, Muris !
Thanks!
Lovely lesson!
sounds like something off a dragon ball z lesson.
haha im a brand noobie
This one's got a really nice feel to it
Thanks Kapto.
HERE is riffing lesson.
Thank You
I love it. Any chance to tab the backing track too. It sounds as cool as the lead.
Thanks Immanuel,welcome to GMC

Thanks
I see,you're newer member,so welcome to GMC!!
Nice man. I loved this lesson
i like how ur pick flashes!
where did u get it from ?
You're welcome
Wow, that's what I call a quick reply!
Thank you Muris, very nice solo BTW.
That's pretty good question related to bending I would say!
As you can see, this kind of tabs doesn't support markings for bends
to explain how much you need to bend, semi tone, whole tone or whatever.
That's why we have slow videos to figure it out better.
As always, bending is quite related to ear and listening, you have to listen while bending.
So I'm sure you can "hear" my bends in slow videos.
Otherwise, having markers on bends wouldn't be of great help...
Hello guys.
I'm new here. Sorry if this is an obvious questions, but:
------------------------|
--10b----8--------------|
--------------7---------|
-------------------9----|
------------------------|
------------------------|
Aren't we supposed to know how much to bend, i.e. 1 or 2 frets?
That's great,keep it up!
This is a great lesson. It's easy enough that I know I'll complete it and be able to commit it to memory. Plus it lends itself to some jazzing up when I get it under my "thumb". Most important though is it sounds really cool. Thanks!!
Thanks,glad you like it
Hi Muris, nice work on this! Very good way to get beginners into phrasing in new ways to!
Hearing you makes me understand that I need to improve my Mixolydian Phrasing :-D
Thanks!!
Why don't you try it and post clip of you playing
it in my instructor sub-board??
great lesson!!!!
Technique wise it is hammer-on but note wise it's grace note and not regular one,
that's why we have "g" in the tab.

that 7g8 isn't that 7h8 ?
This is so good!!!
It's a V.I.L...
Very Important Lesson.
For me, at least.
Thank you for telling me!!

Actually it was D string but anyhow,it's done now

Scottie, you're right, high E string is missing in the tab,my fault.
Will correct it right away!
Great way to teach the modes! Cool
Muris, sorry for being such a novice; but I'm stuck on page 5 - the Em7 tab only has five strings and I struggling with it, could you clarify it for me?
