Yeah, Satch!
Thank you for this awsome lesson
Awesome lesson David, I love Satch like nobody else so I loved to hear your lil story at the beginning and the lesson in whole too of course
Sweeet chops!! Great Lesson
if anyone wants the chops of Satch Try this you'll be on your way in no time!
nice lesson David!
Sounds like a boss DS1 ?
No problem - we're all here to learn, so glad I could help ...
It is right, sorry.
The first scale you quoted is actually C lydian, the second is G lydian so it is correct.
David, your very interesting lesson, but I am confused, according to G Lydian to investigate the sequence of notes must be (C-D-E-F#-G-A-B-C) and is your sequence (G-A-B-C#-D-E-F#-G), I can clarify?
This is a great lesson!!!
David,
Another great lesson. I enjoy them becasue I think we have similar tastes. You certainly have heen an influence since I started working through your lessons. My question is about the descending runs. I am having little trouble getting them fluid. When you descend do you pick upstrokes to create an opposite tension against your fingers pulling down off the fret?
Thanks,
Donovan
Love those legato runs and great lesson , maybe some horizontal legato runs next lesson ? ? ??
Great lesson, I close my eyes and I can see Sath
I will be working on this one for sure. Very nice! Thanks so much.
Amazing! I love Flying in a Blue Dream, probably one of my favorite songs by Satch. The Lydian mode just has so much emotion... For the Love of God is, I think, one of my favorite songs of all time. Thanks a lot, this is a very helpful lesson! Bien hecho!
My fav album of Joe and tune from album!!!
Great one David!!
Sweet lesson
cool
Thank you , David
About the chords...
I play E Lydian on E Major #11,
A Lydian on A Major #11 and
G Lydian on G Major #11...
Fantastic!!
Hi David,
Thank you for that awesome lesson.
Could you explain also the chord progression please? When are you using each scale, for example I guess when your are using the A lydian at that moment u are in a E major chord.
Thanks again.
Awesome!!!!!
Yeah, I've always done it like that.. But there are many different good ways to hold a pick though. I'm sure your method is great :-)
just wondering, I noticed you always make your picking hand into a fist. Did you always do this? It feels very unnatural for me to do that.
Sounds Great. I think I like Lydian very much.
Awesome
very nice lesson
Wow, awesome lesson!
