In today's lesson, we'll study a very melodic piece using only pentatonic scales. The main goal here is to learn how to build melodic ideas when modulating from one key to another. The two keys we'll use are E Major and E minor. E Major pentatonic will be used on the major part, and E minor pentatonic on the other section.

The song is constructed as follow:

E Maj7 - A Maj7
E Maj7 - A Maj7
E Maj7 - A Maj7
C Maj - B Maj

C Maj7 - E Maj7
C Maj7 - E Maj7
C Maj7 - E Maj7
C Maj7 - E Maj7

For the lead part, we'll use E Major pentatonic, except for each time that a C Major chord is played. That's when we swith to E minor pentatonic.

Study well!
