very Lukather esque...
I love the timing on that sweet tapping part early mid and to come out on the minor... oh man--- chills are sent ...
I really love this tune
Okay, today's my first lesson on Guitarmasterclass.net. Really love the track and the licks of Muris. Thanx for that. Always wanted to learn something in the style of Luke.
Regards, Biek
Awesome!
great lesson
this has so much feeling, it's simply great
paint
Great chops!!
Glad you've got recognized by EBMM, well deserved.
I used to be huge fan of EBMM ( I have one Axis which I played for years)
and I even planned of asking for endorsement of some kind
but then MK showed and I simply had to continue playing guitars made in my own country.
Ohh, that's really amazing, shows how great guy he is!
And John Denner did very nice thing by asking him to give you tickets as well,
world is full of good people, you just have to find them.
Luke is one of my all time fav players and musicians, cheers.
You nailed Luke's style, no doubt! Great lesson Muris!
Ok, I'll stop arguying.
Strong, but true !
Wow, those are strong words but thanks!
You should make this into a song ! You own Lukather, and personally I find you play his style better than he does himself !
Sollesnes is doing great indeed!!!
Amazing... You are one big genious, Muris. Be careful, though, Sollesnes is catching up ^.^
I'm glad you liked it, have fun playing it!
He Muris
Heared this solo in ShredCast #2 and was attracted by this solo and I wish I could do this as a lesson. Man this is good.
Then I heard Andrew said it was one of your lessons. I immediately when to see this lesson. I was happy because now I can learn this awesome masterpiece myself.
Give it a try and ask if I can help somehow.
This is absolutely beautiful. It's so smooth. Unfortunately, I suck at playing it.
now that's beautiful
Thanks
I'm not sure if I gave this one a comment already, just wanted to say that this is just the best... Very very very nice
Glad you like it,cheers,Luke rules
One of my all time favorites EVER!! Luke rulls!
I think u nailed some of his vibe quite good in this lesson! great job!
Ah,I see,
L means tied note,to extend it's duration.
And pbr means prebend(pb) and then release®.
Take a closer look and you'll see that's exactly what I'm doing.
As for the picking, just play G string on 12th with downstroke
and then continue with regular alternate.
Apologies for not being clear. It is the bit under video 1:
------------------------------
----13b---Lpbr-11------11-----
------------------12------12~-
------------------------------
------------------------------
------------------------------
By the way what does Lpbr stand for and what is a pedal tone ?
------------------------------------------------|
--11--------------------------------------------|
-----12~----------------------------------------|

Hi Smilo.
Not sure what that sequence is,13 11 12 etc
but I guess it's part on G and B strings,with note D on G string as a pedal tone.
If that is,then it's alternate.
Luke does not use economy at all if I'm right.
Dear Muris,
Thanks for your wonderfull music, now my family lets me play the guitar without headphones .
I do have one small question, in Bar 3 the 13 11 12 11 12 sequence , how is it picked ? Alternated economy ? Is it possible to add the picking notation in your Guitar Pro files ?
Many thanks in advance.
Smilo
Thanks, great to see a violin player here!
Beautiful!
I'll do my best Allan.
In a meanwhile you enjoy this one and glad you've joined.

So coool....So coool....Excellent
This is not a lesson, this is music, COMPLIMENTS Muris. For today i have enough...
d.
Thanks.
It depends both of guitar AND backing instruments,
you have to mix them nicely.
It's so awesome how your guitar cuts through the mix at that low volumes.
Thats exactly how I like my mix, but it never works .
Luke is awesome, that's for sure, looking forward to clip or som
The thing I like about Luke's style is the turn of speed in his playing. I just love that sort of stuff. I'm a AOR junkie lol!!!
Yes I've started on learning this solo . I suppose nothing ventured nothing gained, so nothing to lose here!!
First bit couple of bars ok -ish . Need to work on the vibrato and the bends.
I'll post you a rendition when I've gone through it to see what you think.
Glad to hear more Luke on the way
Give it a try,it's not that hard after all
More of Luke coming up soon tho
OMG this is simply outstanding Muris
You certainly captured Steve Lukather's vibes there, excellent work.
Not sure if I'm able to pull this one off but I might have a play with it. The beginning section 'looks ' straight forward but its capturing the feel and the tone is the tricky part.
I look forward to more Lukather licks
Thanks guys
I < < < LOVED > > > this !!
.... can't say more o.O
Just thought I'd remind you how much I like this one Muris, great techniques and feel put into this one.
Much thanks Ron,glad my work inspired you to join!!
Hey there Muris! Great stuff!!!
And so you know, I just signed up to this website today because of "your" lessons. The other guys are good too. But I think you're style of playing and tone are amazing. I also checked out your myspace and personal page. Keep the lessons and music coming!
Thanks!
very nice Muris
Bravo
great lesson
i try it.
;-)
Thanks Kosei!!
Toto is a great band and I'll surely do more lessons in this style,
maybe some shuffle thing.
Wow! It sure does sound like Steve Lukather.
Toto is one of my favorite band, too!
Great job.
Thanks Fabian, glad to hear it from fellow instructor!!
Great muris, i have to learn this
Thank you,glad you enjoy it!!
verrrry nice! one of the best.
That's great,let me know how it's working,congrats!!
Muris! I finally broke down and just ordered the Pandora PX4D. I'll let ya know how it works out for me. They tell me, I will have it by next Thursday. Thanks for your help.
Oh yeah, thumb issue is long going question for bends Jeff.
Some players hold thumb in the middle of the neck(mostly shredders)
while performing bends, but I prefer to wrapped it around the neck.
That gives me enough base and maintenance.
Muris, I've been learning this lesson and wasn't having much success with the bends until I noticed that my thumb was not over the neck like yours. When I concentrated on doing that I noticed a huge difference. It makes it a lot easier. If anyone else out there is having the same issue, pay attention to that. At least it works for me.
Thanks.
Yeah, guess so,check out my other lessons,I played many styles so you'd see if that's right unit for you.
Great tone, and technique. I'm thinking about getting a Pandira. I play (mostly) classic rock/metal. does the Panmdora offer these type of tones?
Thanks Dan.
And yeah,Vision did a great job, thumb up for that too!
Wow
This was amazing!!I actually just watched Visions video playing this and thought it was really good. After watching you play it again it shows how much a strong vibrato improves the sound and your playing.Thumbs up
very well crafted - tasteful solo. excellent.
I'll take it as a compliment
I recon this must change to : In the style of muris
Thank you guys!
Boris, yes, this is probably intermediate and above.
Runs aren't hard too much but vibrato is.
It's just one way of how I've seen Luke's playing.
Hi Muris, it`s my first comment.
This lesson is simply the best. I love this great sound and playing like this.
Bravo Muris!!! Simply wonderful. I love that kind of sound. Heavy sustain. The guitar almost sounds like shes crying (at least in serious amounts of pain). If you were to classify this lesson, what level would you say its at? (I'm guessing upper intermediate to advanced). I find some parts come fairly easy (bends to pitch and scalar runs). Others are pathetically weak (vibrato).
Thanks,
Boris
Beutiful
Thanks guys!
Awesome job Muris - you have got every detail down!
Wow this lesson is beautifull, I gotta learn it!
excellent--yes make a song of it--(and give us a second part to learn)
Will be Jeff,thanks.
Muris - this is just awesome!! I have already learned half of it. I had to! I hope you make a complete tune of it as you said. More lessons like this
All this coming from fellow instructors,I'm honored!!
great !!! i love it man
i am flippin amazed man!!!!!!!!!!
oooo o o ooo okay now, I am totally stunned...that was most impressive! the way you use the whammy is SOOOO great, almost makes me wanna use one again, AALMOST ...gosh...what a feel for tone...MURIS RUUUUUUULSSS
Wow..
You do it all the time Muris. I know that practice makes perfect, and that's true. But I have to say that you are gifted. Awesome lesson brother!
awesome muris! the guitar and solo both sound great!!
gj
cherio
Beautiful music! Great solo and interpretation Muris!
gabriel.-
a very powerful solo! great!
Thanks a lot!
Ohyeah, you should check Luke,he is The Man,won Grammy too.
About delay...it's simple stereo delay and I don't have too many option for it,
just time and sort of "mix".
If fits quite nice tho.
WOW !!! Awesome, it's incredible your musical taste, simply amazing
my favorite from you yet.
Wow! Great lesson!
I had never heard of Steve Lukather, but now I'm interested in his style.
that was pretty moving... you got me interested in this guy, he looks a bit like a aged petrucci, nice lesson
- John
Very smooth Muris. What is your delay setting? I just got a digitech digital delay pedal (X-series) and am experimenting with settings. I like your setting becasue its adds fullness without overlapping so much that it sounds jumbled.
The controls on my pedal are:
1. level
2. repeats
3. time
thank you
Donovan
Many thanks guys, glad you like it!!
Beautifully melodic, I love this feel Muris!
Thanks for the lesson Muris, I learned your SRV lesson and definitively Im going to learn this one.
Awesome lesson, thanks.
WOOT WOOT, thats so awesome.
