Hi Stephane, I like this solo a lot!
Just one question: in the guitar pro tab, the 3rd and 7th note is a d# bent 1/2 tone, so one should hear an e. But I think in the video you play a 1/4 bent, like it is usually done in blues styles, don't you?
love it!
Thank You Bogdan, I'm really on met way to learning this lesson now. GMC Rocks!
I saw that, but it is not downloadable for replay on portable devices like the 'one take' short version at the top of the list. Would be nice to have it on my iPhone to play through my practice amp.
This lesson alone, is worth the price of admission to GMC. - 1.) is there an 'extended' backing track for this? - 2.) any possibility of next lesson picking up with that cool last chord going for next 12 bars?
I'm just discovering your lessons man. You rock - take that from a metal freak.
Thanks man!
Tasty!
This will keep me busy for the next week or so i think

Hi GMC!
In this blues solo lesson, we will focus on the feel, perhaps the most important thing to play this style.
It's a classic 12bars blues progression in the key of C, with very slow tempo.
Concerning the scales, I use a combination of C minor pentatonic scale, C minor Blues and C Major pentatonic scale.
We gonna work on phrasing, vibrato, bending and the idea is to leave space between the notes and phrases : try to let them "breathe"...and "speak"...
Something important in the blues is also the notion of Question & Answer :
first phrase is the question, the next is the answer...and so on. It's a commun technique to improvise and build a good solo.
Ok, now it's time play!
Have fun,
Stephane
